  1. Today I ran the Braggin Contest program for the first time for real, and it was a gas. Families laughing together, kids striking power poses. Best of all was the little kid who is in speech therapy, but he not only picked out his boast, he repeated phrases like, “I can eulogize a boatload of black mambas” without a hitch, amazing his parents. I must do this program more.

  2. On August 6th while I was in NTP a girl came in who was very excited about the rocks and minerals and she told me she collects rocks and we talked about our favorite rocks and minerals for awhile before she left.

  3. Today in trading post (I have a lot of great interactions in here it’s awesome) I was talking to a guest for awhile about animals and local fossils. He’s super excited to go to the Natural History Museum and see the dinosaurs and see Ice Age. He was also super excited when I told him a lot of the coral looking fossils in the area are Bryozoans and that his pieces could be up to 460 million years old. I’m in MNHS later today so I hope I run into them then again.

  4. This is from 8/5 but I forgot to write it down
I was in Dino Hall and I asked a little boy what his favorite dinosaur was . He ran over to the Daspletosaurus and traced the letter “D” at the start of it’s name and said “Today is a “D” day so this is my favorite. He then ran over the the Galeamopus and said “Doesn’t start with “D” not my favorite today.”

  5. There was a young friend that had 3 “stray” kittens on the floor that wanted to eat all the ice cream and i was asked to take them back, but “watch out, they may bite.” I pretended to get bitten as I walked away.

  6. I like running Who Becomes A Fossil first thing in the morning for families just arriving. One family told me it was their favorite thing all day; I also ran it for a young couple who were reluctant at first but wound up having the best time.

  7. spent 1st hour of the day doing roam and CHM. Most of that time was helping families do the scavenger hunt in Cincy in motion. Even with the “hint” on the board at the top this most pencils we ever found was 9. I told kids this was the hardest scavenger hunt I remember doing and they all love that even I couldn’t find all the pencils.

I have done the scavenger hunt many times before but I don’t think I have even had as much fun as I did this morning.

  8. I always like running Birds are Reptiles for young adults. One young woman commented that my poses were great as I acted out the sprawling vs upright hip alignments.
