I was manning the book table out front today when a bus load of tourists came in just to visit the gift shop. I wound up giving them a 5-minute impromptu talk about the history of Union Terminal.
A family asked me some questions down on Public Landing today, which turned into the Mugwump Medicine show. I found myself dredging up my memories of the script as I went along.
8/28/2020 – I had a High schooler ask me about colleges with a good Paleontology programs. I didn’t really know much about that so I went over and got the collections curator out of the paleo lab, and they ended up talking for a long time. The kid was thrilled.

When I ran the fireball stage show I asked who was excited to see the fireball and a little girl said “Yeah! I wana see the Earth melt!”

Donald’s sound effects were a big hit! A kid came down the ramping stomping and roaring like a dinosaur to the ambient sound.
