I was in Woods buy the slide. It was fairly crowded. Suddenly a young kid around 6 came running toward me waving their arms over their head a just screaming at the top of their lungs. I stopped them and asked if everything was Ok. They said yes – it was just all too much and they couldn’t decide what to do 1st.
I had a little girl come up to me in the woods and starting looking at and touching my Stitch items on my lanyard! The mom was trying to get her to look at the other things in the woods. She wasn’t wanting to listen to mom , but was instead listening to me and having me show her the woods! I took her under the woods tank and showed her the animals and had to follow her down the slide twice!
I gave her a temporary tattoo and she had to immediately go put it on and then come back to the woods to show me!
Spent like 15 minutes straight trying to teach a kid how to juggle in dance party. He had each step down, but was having some difficulties putting them together.
I spent a lot of time teaching a 12 year old how to identify rocks and minerals in NTP. We then led into talking about key differences between animal groups and how the processes of evolution worked.
A boy in the woods was pretending that the minerals in the cave were his gems and he had to get through some spiders to save the gems. I told him and his dad it could be a really cool idea to write about his adventures when they got home that day, so maybe he wouldn’t be sad about having to take his much littler sister home before he was ready.
