I was in a rush to clear MNHS today. With almost everyone in a meeting this afternoon I wanted to clear it out and get to TCM…but there were guests in the Space Exploration Gallery. I mentioned to one group that it was closing time, and they headed out, but a grandmother and grandson were watching the Neil Armstrong movie, and it was right at the beginning. I moved closer to let them know we had closed, but I heard them talking about the moon landing with such awe and excitement that I didn’t have the heart. Instead I listened from the other side of the globe as the grandmother described watching the landing in person.
I was working in the woods and I noticed an older couple, someone’s grandma and grandpa,they were holding hands. He had her head on his shoulder, he had his head resting on hers. They were both fast asleep.
