In dino hall I saw a mother with her 4-5 year old son and overheard her saying “see, this has a short tail and this one has a long tail.” This was in reference to the chicken and archaeopteryx.
During the costume parade I doubled back and rawred at everyone and I heard a mom say “he really is the crazy king” (my costume was Max from Where the Wild Things Are).

Ann: “This is Littlefoot, the turtle.”
Toddler: “Look mom, Littlefoot!”
Ann: “Littlefoot is a boy turtle.”
