  1. For my first time running Wilderness Tracking at the Cave I had a father and 2 boys playing and tracking down, trying to find ALL the animal tracks and I asked why tracking can be helpful today and he said “hunting”. The father hunted regularly so I got to explain how hunters work with conservationists to keep the overpopulation of certain species down, like deer, it was a great way to tie together conservation science with something personal for the family!

  2. Today was Oscar’s birthday! He came down for a birthday dust explosion. “Me too was impressed,” is what he said to his grown ups.

  3. I had an amazing time searching for all of the CIM superheroes with a family. The last one to find was Oracle, the wheelchair bound eyes and ears of the team. I was asked why she was in a wheelchair, I simply said “from a bad fight” and she understood because it’s a dangerous job. After we found everyone I asked who everyone’s favorite that we found was and her answer was Oracle because she is so cool.
