Today in the woods I saw two babies notice each other, point at each other, then themselves, then each other, and then themselves again as if to day “you are baby, I am baby, we are both babies, but different babies”
I was doing the dust fireball on the science stage and when I do this this activity I ask the quests to count down from 3 for me when I say “Ready Set Go” before I do the explosion. I had a small group of five adults and one litterl boy who was aroungd four. I go to the end of the demonstration and was ready to do the fireball so I asked them to count down. The adults didn’t say anything, the kid did count down, but he was so quiet I couldn’t hear him
So I said “Say it again really loud so I can hear you”, then said “Ready, Set, Go”.
The little boy shouted “Again loud so I can year you” at the top of his lungs.
Sounds weird, but today when I was working in Shaping our City I had a really fascinating almost twenty minute long conversation about concrete with a guest who works in the road and bridge construction.
While having Jolly Jumpers out in Childrens there were 2 kids competing and I decided to join. I put my radio and glasses down and jumped 7 ft (how far a bullfrog can jump) and one kid yells “HE’S BUILT DIFFERENT!!!” as a great hype man.
A while back when I was running the fire column stage show there wasn’t much participation from the kids but one grown man who wasn’t even watching (he was messing with the hot/cold infared station) started cheering super loud and watched the rest of the show.
