  1. There was a little boy and his mom that I kept running into all day, first in CHM at Cincinnati in Motion, later in Dino Hall and last in TCM in the Woods. This kid was supper excited and happy about every new thing he saw. In CIncy in Motion every time he saw a new train or streetcar he squealed, in Dino Hall he was running back and forth between the different dinosaurs laughing and asking questions so fast that I could barley understand what he was saying, I could tell the Mom was feeling overwhelmed by his behavior, but I smiled and told her that would have been me at that age. Later when I saw them in the Woods I could tell that Mom was feeling a little embarrassed that her son was afraid of the dark part of the cave and didn’t want to go up the stairs. I chatted with her and said that was OK, the area was designed for kids a little older than her son. She told me he had just turned three that week, and she had come to CMC because his pre-school was closed and she didn’t want to be stuck-inside with him all day and she wanted him to run off some energy. I suggested they try little sprouts Farm. Later I ran into them as they were leaving and the boy was really quiet for the 1st time I has seen them all day. She thanked me for the Little Sprouts recommendation..

  2. Toward the end of the day in Children’s (like last 15 minutes of us being open end of day) there was a little boy in Energy Zone who I was helping fill the big dump bucket up with balls. He recruited his mom to help us and started ordering us around telling us where we had to put balls to fill the bucket up before he dumped the smaller one with the rope into it to set off the alarm and dump it. It was super cute and it was great to see him get his mom to play too.

  3. The animal care staff had an emergency and there was no one to do the program, but I guest asked about it and I filled in. I filled it at the last minute and I used Kellogg the corn snake, one of my favorite of our animals. The guests were very excited to get to meet her. I had forgotten how much fun animal programs are getting to talk to folks about Kellogg really made my day.
