I had an amazing interaction with a group of college age guests in dino hall. It started with the question “how do we know how big they were?” It led into a conversation about the k-pg extintion event and the comment “I need to read up on this more because I didn’t understand it in high school.”
The next 45 minutes was simply spent teaching the concept of change over time to a group that didn’t understand it well. Questions of “so are all animals today evolved from dinosaurs?” were welcomed and explained that only some are. No judgement, only teaching someone who had tears in their eyes because they weren’t taught growing up and a nice goodbye.

While running Mission Designer, a mother joked that she would like to volunteer her son to stay on his moon mission. All three of us laughed.
