  4. Racquet, who was the source of much inspiration today, also helped a mother over come her fear of snakes. When she first arrived, she was like ahhh. But after realizing the snake was quite contained, she had an extended conversation with Ann about Racquet

  5. Today there was a plethora of cute children. One of them I have feeling might work here in 15 years. He was telling me how they found all the animals in the case. And as I told him to have fun, he told me to have fun.

  6. I talked with a 3 year old who loves space. I asked him if he has going to the Moon or Mars, and he yelled, “The Moon!” We practiced our best astronaut jumps, and his family joined in.

  7. I met a lot of first-time visitors today. I had two women who were incredibly excited about everything we had in CHM, and a homeschool family that was obsessed with the Cave Plaza animals. Both groups were incredibly fun to talk with and had so many great questions.

  9. NURFC memory of the day for 12/11. A guest was telling me that these exhibits were bringing tears to her eyes because people are awful to each other and they should be kind to each other.

  11. I had an interesting question asked that I needed to gather some data from the staff to answer. “Is triceratops the boxer or bulldog of dinosaurs?” The outcome was 2 for boxer and 5 for bulldog when I returned to the couple that asked the question.

  12. A family came in and the child wanted to do the mission designer. The child was very engaged and wanted to do all the missions. Afterwords the mom thanked me for pulling out the mission designer and for even being open. She was grateful we were open. She was also excited to learn about the exploration units
