  1. A teenager guest was upset that all the interactive stuff on the Public Landing was gone. I told him there was still a bunch of details to keep an eye out for here and around the city. We talked about the number of panes in windows, fire insurance badges and more. He told me he has been coming here since he was 2 and didn’t know all of that about the public landing. He went back to his group of people and showed them all of the details around the PL

  2. A family was sitting in the dino hall and I told them about the one way lights. As I walked away the dad commented, “well that’s one more thing I learned today,” and told the other half of the group his newfound knowledge

  3. I had a kid who was so insanely excited about the space exhibit and told me he wants to work for NASA. When I told him about the moon rock and the snoopy cap, he squealed very loudly and fell on the floor in a very dramatic way out of excitement.

  4. A couple hadn’t been here since the renovation and they were super excited to see and learn about all the art deco details. They were happy to see that the renovation brought all of the art deco stuff back

  5. I met a young friend that apparently comes every week to watch the Neil Armstrong video in the space gallery so I set mission designer up just for that family to try (they also love the rovers!).

  6. A young visitor was intensely staring at CIM. I asked her if she was looking for the Dinosaur heads. She was and found 5 of them!

  7. I love plants, and some people asked what might be good for a terrarium (pothos, polka dot plants, fittonia, mosses). We went around the cave plaza looking at all the reptiles

    1. A couple came in super interested in the ordovician hallway. I approached them with the info that some of these fossils could still be found alive today, albeit with slight differences. They were interested in the differences between ammonites and nautilus shells and how Cincinnati is the place for Ordovician fossils. I convinced them their next trip should be fossil hunting! I hope they find a really cool crinoid
